Well we have had another awesome day in Santiago. We came back to this city as we wanted to spend some more time with our Australian friends but also to organise our bus to Mendoza, but more about that in my next blog (the experience deserves its on piece).
On Sunday we went to 'Parque Quinta Normal' with Jo, Jorge and family and enjoyed free entree into some of the adjoining museums and a relax on the grass while the boys rode trikes (pictures on Facebook).
Today went back to the same park to enjoy another nap on the grass and then bought some yummy street food. The street food here is a mixture of sweets and hot Chilean food. Today it was Sopaipilla. Sopaipillas are essentially a kind of quick and easy fried bread typically made from a mixture of pumpkin and flour. You can have it served with pebre salsa or mustard or ketchup. Geraldine had ours with this hot salsa sauce and it was magnificent. Check these treats out on google.
